Sorry To Bother You

It’s been three days now and I still taste it. A film so heavy it’s near impossible to commercialize within the framework of the feel good comedy gimmick of mainstream trailers. Cleverly, the title/tagline of the film, “Sorry to Bother You” is a kind of an apology to the audience for the inconvenient truth the film has to share , a sarcastic reference to the infamous telemarketer, scorned and forgotten, pushed to the margins of social acceptance, to become a dehumanized dreg of the current system. Sorry To Bother You is a brilliant and profoundly disturbing, often surreal, eerily unsettling satire. It’s socially conscious magical realism with a touch of science fiction, sure to leave a taste that lingers.

Welcome to the late capitalist nightmare.
